Remember...

Keep "Christ" in Christmas!

Happy New Year!

As you were baptised in the Jordan, Lord, the worship of the Trinity was made manifest, for the voice of the Father bore witness to you, naming you the Beloved Son; and the Spirit, in the form of a dove, confirmed the sureness of the word. Christ God, who appeared and enlightened the world, glory to you

- Apolytikion of Theophany

Upcoming Liturgical Services

The Liturgical life is at the core of prayer life in the Orthodox Church. The services help the faithful to praise God and thank Him for all the blessings in their lives, to ask forgiveness of sins, and to ask God for His blessings. They are there especially to thank God for our "older brothers and sisters", the Saints of our Church.

Celebrate Christmas with iEcclesia!

In its first season, iEcclesia presented two episodes on the theme of Christmas. In its episode, "Philanthropy: Is it Better to Give than to Receive?", iEcclesia spoke about the issues of philanthropy with Presbytera Kyriaki Kouloulias and Mrs. Fotini Sgouros-Psoras. Two weeks later, iEcclesia spoke about the Reason for the Season, and how the so-called 'taboo' of "Merry Christmas" has surfaced in our day and age, with its episode, "Christmas: We wish you a...Happy Holiday?"
