Greek Orthodox Family Services and Counselling  (Social Services)

 

The Greek Orthodox Family Services and Counseling Social Services, an organization funded by the Ministry of Social Services of Metro Toronto, under the Greek Orthodox Metropolis, has been operating since 1984 in our Community. There are two Social Services Offices functioning with 4 social Workers. Their mission is to provide counseling and assistance to women and their children who are victims of abuse, and also to promote public awareness in breaking the cycle of violence and restoring safety, well-being, respect, understanding and human dignity in our society.

 

 

The current Executive Director is Rev. Fr. Demetrios Koumarellas
