Greek Orthodox Family Services and Counselling

The Greek Orthodox Family Services and Counselling Social Services, an organization funded by the Ministry of Social Services of Metro Toronto, under the Greek Orthodox Metropolis, has been operating since 1984 in our Community. There are two Social Services Offices functioning with 4 social Workers. Their mission is to provide counseling and assistance to women and their children who are victims of abuse, and also to promote public awareness in breaking the cycle of violence and restoring safety, well-being, respect, understanding and human dignity in our society.

The Greek Orthodox Family Services and Counselling (Social Services) is celebrating its 25th anniversary. A gala dinner will be taking place on Saturday January 16th 2010 at the Metropolitan centre (3840 Finch Avenue East, Scarborough Ontario).
