Every year, Canada remembers the heroic fighters and fallen of the struggles for freedom, faith and country. They sacrificed their lives so we can live in freedom. We owe much to them. Their offering to us is priceless and our thanks to them should be eternal. Prayers for the heroic fighters and fallen should be offered up on Sunday, November 11^th. May God rest their souls amongst the Saints.

I ask our priests, Community Councils and our Communities in general to organize this celebration in the best way possible. Our youth is the backbone of the Church. If we do not make sure now that they are catechized and are watered with the wine of Orthodoxy, we will have empty pews later on in our Churches. We must show a genuine interest for our children, for our youth: not with words, but with action. Youth must be disciplined and love both God and the Church
